Susan Fenelon has produced award-winning gardens and has over twenty years experience in arboriculture and landscaping. Originally from the wild bogland of County Carlow in southeast Ireland, Susan came to the Bay to continue her education in horticulture and has studied at CCSF, Merritt College, Friends of the Urban Forest and the San Francisco Botanical Gardens. As an environmentalist and plant enthusiast, she’s drawn inspiration from botanical gardens around the world. She’s an expert in plant combinations as well as detailed aesthetic pruning. Her work spans from boutique private gardens to large-scale contracts at the California Academy of Sciences. Susan possesses a wealth of plant knowledge and is constantly educating herself. At present she is pursuing studies in plant herbalism in Berkeley as she has a keen interest in ethnobotany. She’s certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and ReScape qualified.
